Thoughts On the 21st Century

Here is an excerpt from a speech by Master Chen Le-Tian at the 3rd International Qi Gong Conference in Kyoto, Japan, April 23, 1992. Qi Gong is an ancient Oriental practice incorporating movement and meditation which is reputed to focus life energies and effect miraculous healings. could the origin of this ancient healing art be extraterrestrial, as Master Le-Tian posits?

The 21st century is just a step away from us. In the new century facing us, the following situation will come about on Earth. Earth people will move toward integration with the universe. A special human practice will succeed. the unified science of human body and the universe will win major confirmation and human civilization will make a great leap forward. Earth civilization will converge with interstellar civilization, and Earth civilization will achieve unprecedented glories. And all this will be achieved through the tool of Qi Gong, used as a cutting-edge science unifying the human body with the universe. These conclusions were reached as I focused on the cosmos, Earth, and the human race during my Qi Gong practice.

OUR UNIVERSE

Present Western science really only knows one side of the universe. With the Eastern Yi philosophy of changes as guide and Western science as foundation, we can realize the following:

The universe is filled with faster-than-light materials. The Qi Gong masters, super masters and psychics, have discovered higher intelligence in the universe that can be accessed "instantly," Human consciousness is a negative material moving faster than light.

"Flying saucers" are the craft of the "extraterrestrials" that frequently visit us. these are driven by mind power, and their speed of flight is controlled at all times by mind power. The reason these flying saucers are sometimes visible and sometimes invisible to Earth people is that the "extraterrestrials" fly them sometimes faster than light, and sometimes slower than light. "Flying saucers" exceeding the speed of light can arrive "instantly."

THIS PLANET OF OURS

The Earth is a tiny planet in the Milky Way galaxy, a speck of dust in the vastness of space. The universe is not a desert, and the Earth is definitely not the only oasis in a desert. In the positive universe alone there must be many extraterrestrial civilizations, Earth civilization is only at the beginning stage. There are all kinds of indications that Earth civilization is in a transition period moving towards convergence with interstellar civilization.

At present, science is facing stiff challenges, and Earth civilization is facing a serious crisis. The population explosion, deforestation, decertification, starvation, the energy crisis, pollution, the greenhouse effect, the imbalances in the ecosystem, extinction, the ever-improving techniques of killing and the cruelty of modern war - the list goes on and on. Almost all countries are seeking a way out of the crisis. the U.N. has started a petition to "save the Earth" and has taken many steps for this purpose.

But the crisis on Earth is the labor pain before the birth of something new. When crisis comes, can a dramatic new leap forward be far behind?

The roots of Earth civilization are in the East, not in the West. the relatively rich development of Western material civilization can only be called a flourishing branch or out-growth, but a healthy growth depends on deep roots. The arrival of the computer age does not depart from the tai chi-eight diagrams system and modern Western science and technology is deeply rooted in ancient Eastern sciences. If the leaves fall off and lose connection with the root, they wither, and if humans break the links between Western and Eastern science for geographic reasons, Western science will turn out to have been a flash in the pan. We must warn the Earth against seeking answers in a piecemeal way.

The most urgent task before us now is to promote the convergence of Western and Eastern science without delay and create a unified culture and science of the human body and the universe.

At this moment, an irresistible tide of Qi Gong has engulfed the ancient land of Eastern culture - China. this is a revivalist movement in Eastern culture. The movement is much bigger than the European Renaissance that gave birth to modern science in its breadth, depth and greatness. This movement must produce a large number of geniuses greater than Copernicus, Galileo, Da Vinci, Giordano Bruno, and Shakespears, and this "collection of geniuses" include Qi Gong masters who understand modern science, scientists who understand Qi gong, and experts and scholars in all fields. this will be a true era of "a galaxy of talent." these talents will absorb the high universal energy from Qi gong. Combine the special methods of observing the universe of ancient Eastern science (the introspective method) with modern Western scientific analysis (external observation) and create a totally new unified science of the body and the universe. It is this science that will push forward the development of Earth civilizations.

THE PEOPLE OF EARTH

We Earth people are the creators of Earth's material civilization, and also the creators of Earth's crisis. In order to get out of the abyss, we must purify the spirit of Earth people, develop our potential and produce a qualitative rise in our moral, intellectual and vital levels. If we pursue only the development of material civilization, but neglect to improve ourselves as people, we again make the mistake of missing the forest for the trees.

Only new talent creates new science, only new science creates a great civilization. The principle of the constancy of the speed of light is an obstacle to the rise of the new science and the new geocentricism is preventing our dramatic rise to a new level of civilization. In China in the 1980s, all kinds of Qi gong masters appeared and all kinds of amazing psychic abilities were demonstrated. More and more professors and specialists went into Qi gong science research, and Qi Gong rose a great wave which is now going around the world.

This is an unprecedented mystery on the eve of the 21st century, the storm clouds before the bursting of a revolution in Earth's scientific knowledge and a giant leap for civilization. High-level Qi Gong can purify man's spirit and can trigger and develop human potential, can allow people to survive better in conditions different than what prevails on Earth, can bring Earth people into contact with universal intelligence, and can bring about contact and convergence of Earth civilization and extraterrestrial civilization.

I fervently hope that Qi Gong masters, scientists and all those concerned with the fate of the Earth will waste no time in uniting and joining in the struggle to raise the Earth people and make a leap in civilization.
