THE HEADWATERS HOMEPAGE
http://www.lightparty.com/Headwaters

150 years ago, 2 million acres of ancient redwood forest blanketed the California coast. Today less than 4% remains. One-half of that is protected from chain-saws. Where there once were salmon, elk, grizzly bear, and native peoples, the wilderness that surrounds Humboldt Bay is now almost completely lost. Headwaters Forest contains the six largest unprotected groves of ancient redwood forest left on Earth.

The voices of the wild are seldom heard in the court room. We speak for the salmon, nurrlets, spotted owls, and other wondrous creatures whose lives depend on the majestic ancient forests.

We speak for the trees themselves - the oldest, tallest living beings on Earth.
