ON ARMAGEDDON

The much feared and maligned end of the world (Armageddon) scenarios ("Millennium Fever," August 5) actually refer to the transformation of the collective consciousness of humanity. It is in truth a process, a psychological event, a spiritual awakening, a transition from an egocentric, fear-based materialistic reality into a oneness/love/freedom based reality.

On an individual and collective level we are beginning to realize that time, like death, is a primary illusion. We will come to know, as many already know, that life is not to be feared but to be enjoyed. We live in an extraordinarily beautiful universe and world which is rooted in infinite love, compassion, superintelligence and mystery.

As we awaken to these truths, we will realize the prophetic statement in the Book of Revelations: "There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away." To summarize, Armageddon, "The End of the World" in truth is not something to be feared but rather something to be embraced and celebrated. (According to reliable spiritual sources and the Gregorian calendar we have already moved into the year 2000. We are at 2002, post-millennium! Strictly speaking, the millennium is a myth!)
