THE MAYAN CALENDAR
The revolution will not be televised
The evolution will be telepathised
13.0.0.0.0 - return to the center
Phe Gitsham
There is an underlying agreement on reality found in many ancient cosmologies that
links us all to the centre, a truth of interconnected unity as an original state
of being that precedes, outlasts and transcends this monkey body experience. The
chaos of the present day attempts to absorb ourselves as monkey masters of the material
world at the expense of sustainability of the entire planet including us, has increasingly
been noted as a symptom of mass schizophrenic separation from who or what we are.
Our past seems to hold better offers for understanding our future and unfurling a
broader view of the current human disaster in evolutionary context. The world as
it was described in ancient times is now being revived from its psychedelic roots
in the times when the language centre, the neocortex of the human brain, evolved
on a steady diet of plant hallucinogens, such as psilocybin mushrooms and the monkey
we know ourselves to be today emerged with language and time as the primary filters
of experience.
The Mayan calendar describes the wave movement of the evolution of consciousness
as a complex pyramidal matrix of oscillations through creation cycles towards a culmination
point by which time we are prophesised to have entered into enlightened telepathised
awareness of our unity with the nature of the galaxy and our earth. 2012 - Mayan
date 13.0.0.0.0 - Return to the Centre, has also been calculated as having an important
end phase of long term cycles in October 2011.
Of 20 intercalated cycles that make up the Mayan calendar, the central hub is the
Tzolkin count, a 260day cycle combining the frequencies of 13:20 as a patterning
tool for creation forces within our galaxy. The 260 day count is not a tracking of
an earthly physical cycle, it is in correlation to energy cycles of the galactic
centre that we experience via our sun, which will be in alignment with the galactic
centre on the solstice, December 21, 2012, marking completion of a 5113yr cycle.
As a creation cycle, 260 days is microcosmically within us as the period of human
pregnancy, and historical timelines overlaid with the Mayan calendar are being disseminated
revealing an overwhelming synchronicity between longer-term history and the oscillating
cycles in the calendar.
Fundamental to the manifested expressions of evolution is the theory of the world
tree, a cosmological memetics metaphor at the core of the earth as an axial polar
midline that creates and maintains the four directions, giving direction or a map
of space to the energies described in calendrical timings. The world tree oscillates
while pyramidal cycles of energies known as the 9 underworlds permeate throughout
different areas of the earth focussing consciousness into frames. At a simple glance
the frames on consciousness can be observed in the differences in manifestation of
eastern and western thought, or at a deeper level can be descriptive of the wave
movements in modern economics, or the geography of politics, wars and philosophy.
The calendar holds within a Mayan meme theory describing how, when and where human
thinking emerges as an interaction with consciousness fields of the earth and cosmos.
(See Dr. Carl Johan Calleman1s book 3The Mayan Calendar and the Transformation of
Consciousness2).
At this present time we are in a state of cultural enantiodromia, as the oscillation
rate of energy shift increases twenty-fold each time we climb a terrace of the pyramidal
matrix of creation cycles, it appears that time is speeding up and the process of
field reversal is becoming evident. As we extend ourselves to the unsustainable limits
of dominator conquest, the evolution is towards a polar shift (like yin-yang) in
collective psyche from the skewed revelations of the humanum in dominator consciousness
to a telepathised partnership consciousness with the earth, if we participate. In
Maya Cosmogenesis 2012, John Major Jenkins writes 3enantiodromia occurs over relatively
brief periods of cultural chaos, and cultural transformation affects peoples1 spiritual
values as well as the scientific and philosophical underpinnings of society1s thinkers
and policy makers. During these eras of social change a polarization of values occurs,
opposite camps define themselves and pull apart, each forming a new set of values,
belief systems and philosophies.2 The process of field reversal is a span in which
the human spirit undergoes emergence of the unconscious opposite in the course of
time.
Inside many of our monkey suits an urge to find out about this calendar is penetrating
the tensions created by living on unnatural time as we do with the Gregorian calendar
mess, and is evident as waves of information is disseminated across the planet to
evolutionary enthusiasts who seek the Mayan calendar.
Perhaps a manifestation of enantiodromic phase of field reversal, there are two calendars
circulating. One is the true Mayan count and the other calendar, invented ten years
ago by Jose Arguelles, is called the Dreamspell 13 Moon Peace Calendar. The Dreamspell
calendar is not in sync with the true Mayan count as is still kept in tradition by
the Maya day keepers, it is a calendar combining the patterns of the tzolkin with
a 28day moon cycle, plus one 3day out of time2, another day void of energetic alignment
to account for Gregorian leap days, with harmonics of other systems and consciousness
patterns overlaid.
It is important to the Mayan council of elders that sincere seekers of the Mayan
calendar do not misconstrue the Dreamspell calendar for the true count, as its implications
are very different.
In interview Dr Carl Johan Calleman, a key researcher, writer and teacher of the
Mayan calendar writes, 3In the ancient prophetic books of the Maya, the Books
of Chilam Balam, all prophecy, without exception, is related to non-physical
cycles, such as baktuns, katuns and tuns, [cycles in the mayan counts] and not to
solar or other astronomical cycles. The Dreamspell, in contrast to the Books of
Chilam Balam, is a calendar system based on the physical, solar year, and so
we may be certain that the Dreamspell is not a prophetic calendar system. In my opinion
what the world needs now is instead the true prophetic Mayan calendar2.
Jose Arguelles, also known as Valum Votan, a current emanation of Pacal Votan, who
was a Mayan king in Palenque and time avatar 7th century AD, describes his development
of the calendar 3to return the essence of that ancient knowledge to the modern world
in a form useful to itS When I discovered the Mayan calendar and mathematics a short
time later, I knew
that was the basis of the system of the ancient knowledge. So I just stayed with
that, picking up clues along the way2.
The synodial lunar cycle of 29.5 days is the period after which the moon attains
the same phase again eg. full moon to full moon. Traditionally the Mayan Tzolkin
is counted with the synodial cycle. On the problems with following the Dreamspell
count, Calleman writes, 3Arguelles is telling women that their natural feminine cycle
is 28 days. There is however overwhelming evidence (see my article The Mayan Calendar
and the Cycles of the Goddess, blog at www.calleman.com) that the female cycles of
gestation, menstruation and ovulation in fact are linked to the full moon cycle of
29.5 days, which was how the ancient Maya counted months. The 29.5 day feminine cycle
is also why many women experience hormonally related effects on days of full moons.
It is only in our current environment of widespread artificial hormones and artificial
light that the natural feminine cycles have been perturbed and mostly shortened.
Arguelles then seems to want to replace the natural female cycles related to the
full moon with a theoretical construct of 28 days, which has neither natural nor
spiritual meaning. Whether he is aware of it or not he has fallen into the trap of
patriarchal medicine that for long has sought to deny the magical link between the
woman and the cycle of the full moonS Its [Dreamspell] main function today is to
block people1s understanding of the Mayan calendar and create confusion about this.
The Dreamspell is neither a feminine calendar, nor a natural calendar, nor a prophetic
calendar.
This is both an issue of morality and cultural imperialism2.
Arguelles sees more of a picnic between his Dreamspell calendar and the Mayan calendar
as he writes, 3I try to discourage 13 Moon calendar and Dreamspell people from calling
their workshops 3Mayan calendar" workshops. Even though the Dreamspell is based
on the same mathematical system , it is not the Mayan calendar as traditionally understood,
nor was it ever meant to be. It was specifically "channelled" as a new
universal system for the planetary human at this time. I think all of us need a bit
more humor and tolerance. We all have the same roots, and are all working toward
the same end, 2012. So let's get together, and smile on our brothers and sisters,
and try to love one another everywhere right now!2. But can you appease felt cultural
imperialism with a Nirvana song quote, incidently from an album called Nevermind?
The emergence of Dreamspell as a prophetically timed enantiomorph, a non-superimposable
reflection of the original prophetic calendar, is the initiator for a global movement
for calendar change. Jose Arguelles rides as monkey guru atop the Foundation for
the Law of Time, promoting calendar change, teaching Dreamspell1s adapted sacred
mathematics to the world of eager psychonauts and temporal wizards, meanwhile a plethora
of diatribe dissects his maths revealing inconsistencies and asynchronicity with
the traditional long-term cycles of creation. But it seems that most people on the
learn about Dreamspell are sincere seekers of the Mayan calendar, and do not realise
the imperialistic damage it is causing to indigenous Mayan information and the distribution
of the real calendar.
The evolution will be telepathised. So while we tune into the higher scaffoldings
of conscious energies, rifts will appear as our spiritual cells divide and globalisation
agitates itself into righteous collapse as the only real possible outcome of attempted
sustained growthS And we will likely abandon temporal constraints of the clock and
the linear calendar for the more intuitive musings of scientia and synchronous solaristics
found in the Mayan calendar.
